No, he's not dead. He was recently in the news for being arrested, though. I think he was speeding and may have had some marijuana on him at the time he was pulled over. There've also been talks of him working on Rush Hour 3 at the moment.

no he is currently filming rush hour 3. he got some astronomical amount to do it. i saw it on the news a while ago its like a record amount for a comic or something more than will smith.
