Let me explain. Each set of two words I have seen interchanged with the other. Sarcastic for ironic. Love for lust. Theoretical for hypothetical. Like that. Sorry, I did not mean ALL the words, just the pairs individually.

Sorry but I have attempted to determine what you are asking but I just do not know.. It could be that you are asking(for example) why do people use (for example) lust instead of love and/or love IN place of LUST? If that is it.. then it is because they do not know the difference.... I know that there is a difference between the word facetious and ornery because I just happen to use the word facetious a lot.. On that word facetious.. it is often used in place of factitious and not ornery.. People intermix the words facetious and factitious a lot

I hope you have a GOOD dictionary. Those words are not identical in meaning. In fact not even close but often misused.

Teens confuse love and lust all the time. :)
