I think it would be more difficult than anyone would imagine. What if all the wives are in a bad mood? Pissed off at you? Pregnant? Fighting with eachother? Sounds pretty horrible for the guy if you ask me.

That's simply not true. A wife would have to agree to there being a second wife and there would have to be a good reason for it for her to accept it. You are talking about a time when having a husband was important to your social and financial survival. It was done with the pretext that if there where not enough men in the village for everyone to have a husband it was your duty not to let a sister be without her wish of a husband and children. Its not relevant in the 21st century there are enough men to go around now. You obviously know nothing in detail and just state comments you think will get reactions. How sad.

SIGH.

Did you read the rest of the story? They must be able to provide equally for all of their wives- financially, and emotionally. They must be treated the same. In many Muslim countries there are laws so strict that it makes having multiple wives almost impossible. Also, the first wife must agree to allowing her husband to marry again. This was originally allowed so no widows and children were left uncared for. Please do your homework!!

You know I here this all the time . I know that in a lot of cases that it's only wishful thinking on the part of the man . Most can't keep up with the one they have . Doing it all the time is one thing but keeping her happy is another . No I don't base this soley on experience , we women do talk .
