I personally wouldn't care. I would not go off on the boss, but I would speak my mind though about what I thought of the place and how they ran things. I work in a hospital cafeteria and they piss me off all the time.

I guess that I would feel relief - since I hated the job. Being fired may be a little embarrassing and could make you feel inadequate at what you were doing...however, if you hated what you were doing, it would only make sense that you didn't naturally do the best job. I think that what you wrote about speaking your mind was very important. If you are already on your way out of that job, you may as well use that golden opportunity to tell your boss what was wrong about the situation.

Although you hate the job, I would keep it professional in the work place. If I were you, I would compose a well thought out and educated letter thoroughly informing your supervisor about your concerns. Many times, employers don't know what problems are actually there and appreciate an employee bringing things to their attention. Evaluations are necessary, just as employees are given reviews, you're entitled to voice your opinion in a respectful manner. Good Luck!

I would be upset if I didn't have a job to go to, but if I had something lined up or enough money to last me for a while it might be sort of a relief after the initial shock.

I wouldn't burn any bridges or berate the boss or the organization, you never know what the future holds.

You would wait until you were fired? Why? Sounds like to much stress, do not like the job and you are sure you can get another just go, give your notice so you do not leave them in a bind, this is the responsible thing to do. I have not been responsible all my life and have been known to walk off jobs when young. Not worth the stress...

Now matter how much you hated the job, you can't burn bridges. You may need to come back to these people for a reference some day.

Just show your joy of being fired by waking up every morning and realizing you don't have to go back to that place.

They'd call security if I decided to stand for a second or two and tell 'em what I thought about them. Instead, I think I'd flip out. When I quit my B&N Cafe job, I sought everyone who worked there and starts a conversation. Then I'd interrupt them with "fk you and fk this, I'm out, btch." Then I hit up the manager and told her "you're cool. I like you. Them, though? They can sck it. By the way, I quit. Don't forget to send me my last check, k? Greeeat." And walked out after I dropped the apron on the floor. God, that was fun.

So long as I was fired for reasons that could still get me my unemployment, I would not care... I almost got fired from a job that I hated but I quit before they could do so...in my state, quitting can sometimes keep you from getting your unemployment...you have to state why you quit...I left due to a hostile work environment...I even was able to fax to the examiner my resignation letter after telling her of the horrible things he said to me which was part of why I quit, the other reason I quit was due to what being there was doing to my physical health...

At first, I 'd be glad to go if I hated it but I wouldn't like having to explain being fired on my next job interview.
