It does not necessarily have to be treated this very second, but it does need to be treated, as it can damage your kidneys badly. Since your doctor is not in today, I would recommend drinking lots of cranberry juice and water until you can see him/her. The pinkish tint is no good it usually means blood in the urine which I am sure you have already guessed. This is a common thing that happens when you a UTI. It's caused by irritation in the urinary tract and/or bladder. I've had many, especially during pregnancy. The pressure is pretty much a sure sign, or it has always been a reliable indicator for me. The influx of liquids will help to keep the bacteria from growing as fast as long as you make sure you drink at least a gallon. The receptionist should be able to schedule an appt for you tommorrow or ASAP when the doc comes back. If the doc will be gone for more than 2 or 3 days then you should ask who handles his patients while he's gone and see that person. Good Luck.

It sounds like the pinkish tint is blood. This is something serious and you should go to the emergency room. Drink LOTS of water. It won't feel good to pee but until you can get medical attention you need to try and clear out whatever is there.
UTI's can affect your kidneys in a big way. Take care of it. Ask to see another doctor.

Any infection is serious if left untreated for too long! Make sure you can get the doctor sometime this week and make an appointment for next week. You'll be fine in the mean time until your doctor visit.Get some cranberry juice in the meantime to help fight the infection.

Drink lots of water and cranberry juice, at least a quart of it. yeah urine can be pink but the acid in the juice can subside the infection also take some tylenol for pain.
Sounds like a bladder infection. It usually clears up in 3 days.
They can give you meds but the cranberry juice usually makes it go away. If it doesn't then call the advice nurse.

Yes a UTI can turn serious if left untreated, but not likely in one day. It can turn into a full blown kidnet infection and cause kidney failure. Don't be too upset that your dr isn't in today, if you are really nervous about it see the on call dr they can treat you just the same.

Drink lots of water and see if there is someone else in the doctor's office who you can talk to. Are you in any pain? Call them back and get checked.
Any infection can be serious.
And no, it is not a sign of pregnancy. If you had really vigorous sex recently you could have broken a couple of small blood vessels which could change the color of the urine....

uti can turn into kidney infections if not treated.kidney infections can cause severe pain, seizures and even kill you.i would go to the hospital if it continues to get worse but if its not that bothersome then you can wait till you get to the doc.
