Good morning,
We are both 23 and this is my girlfriends second time having sex and the first time was painful for her and I was very careful and took my time with her so we could properly stretch her hymen and after looking at some ideas I have noticed someone mentioning something about ora-gel and that it helps if applied to the hymen. Is this true using the gel form that it reduces the pain? Also, is this safe? Thank you all for your time!

Thanks for the answers so far, yes she gets extremely wet and never seems to loose it but I bought astroglide just in case. I was able to put about 7 inches in her of the 8.5 and after 2 days she tried putting a finger in there and she said it was painful a little.

If you had sex, she should no longer have a hymen. The hymen is just a small piece of tissue and can be broken or torn very easily. Sex is painful the first few times. I'm not sure about oragel and wouldn't recommend you try it.

that's not true what others say about not having a hymen anymore just because you have sex once. some girls don't end up breaking it for a while... and yes the do strech in some women. i know it hurts but the best thing really is to tell her to suck it up and be a little ruff so it all breaks apart. it will not get more comfortable until then. but also note it takes about 3 or 4 times before it starts to feel good for some girls. I'd say no to the ora-gel as anything that's not made for that area can cause infections. maybe she could do this her self with her figures and then give it a few days to heal. it normally takes about 3-5 days to feel normal again. but honestly sometimes you just need to work through that... and its really not that painful. does she want kids some day?... then she needs to get over it that will be way more painful even if she does have drugs, the drugs wear off and it takes anywhere from a few days to a few months to heel from birth. this might sound insensitive but most girls go through it and most girls don't throw such a fuss.

I wouldn't risk putting something like that in the genital area. It wasn't made for that and although others may say they've tried it and had no problems, it might not work out that way for your girlfriend. If you do try it and it does work, it might make her numb and she won't feel anything and probably won't enjoy any of it. It can take a couple of tries for a woman can comfortably have sex. I recommend lots of foreplay so that she's well lubricated or try some lubricating gel. The more she is lubricated down there the easier it will be to be gentle and it will feel better too for both of you.

Go with vigdis's advice....she is correct. A hymen CAN stretch and not rip. I wouldn't use orajel....it could cause her to get a yeast infection.

I've never heard of that. And, since you've already had sex, her hymen shouldn't be there anymore. The hymen doesn't stretch, it rips.

Just be gentle and make sure that she is well lubricated and relaxed before proceeding.

I don't know about ora-gel, but it never hurts to try! Have you tried K-Y?
