i bought a brace thought the hospital and it cost me $ 1000...when i got home i could only find one that cost under 200....i think its a new plastic...poly-carbon...let me know if i got riped off...

Don't know if you were ripped off. I know that things are more expensive in hospitals than outside. In hospitals in other countries, a 30% markup in prices is quite legal. Don't know if this is the case also in the US. You talking of US $?Compare the features of your brace with the others available in the market-then you decide if you were ripped off.
