It was supposed to be a good workout, to bend and stretch his knee to see if there was any reaction.
The only workout he got was too the crease and back.
England are panicking cos they lost the first test,no way should he play in the 4th test,he's not fit enough.

Depending upon the performance of England batting in the next test matches, England will decide whether Vaughan will be included in the team. If the present batsmen performs well, they may not include him as he is coming back to play after a long lay off due to injury

If Michael Vaughan is fit by the fourth test then yes he should come back.
The side that won in England have been badly depleted by injury and other gremlins. We have lost one of best batsmen from that series and our best bowler. so if our skipper is fit again then take the pressure off Freddie and play him.
Also pick Montie before Ashley and give Geraint one more game or replace him with Chris Reid. Plus if Steve Harmison cannot get it together by the third test then he must go also

Well given Harminson, Lack of practice seems to be a plus for this english side.

Once Vaughan gets another innings or two, or time at the crease he could be alright to go, he is a quality player.

He also would provide a much needed boost to the Morale of england.

i doubt that Vaughan will return this series at all giving his lack of practice. he was out to a bowler whotook only 4 wickets in 6 firstclass matches in aust last year.

Of course he should! Have you forgotten his inspirational leadership against the Aussies last year!
