That happens a lot, quite often after Christmas when people suddenly feel that they have to do something about the excessive eating over the holidays, and after a few visits, people make excuses and skip going.

I find that the best thing to do is to set a goal for today. In other words, instead of dreading that I "must" go to the gym 4 times this week, I think of what I want to do today, or sometimes 2 days in a row, with 2 days off. And checking yourself in the mirror is good incentive to keep going.

Hehe, well I did that twice. Although both times I paid for a 1-year membership and only used it for the first 6 months.

Prolly more than 50%. I know I'd never use my gym membership if not for the fact that I have a trainer, paid in advance, waiting for me there. In fact, I'm going there right now; Wednesday is legs day.

I'd say half. Gym memberships are one of those things..you are so motivated at first and you're going to make it a routine...and you DO, at first and then you can't go because of one thing or another, so you skip a day, and then you are busy so you skip the week, and pretty soon you get out of the routine. I am trying to get myself motivated again, after being sick for a couple weeks. I know it is gonna hurt!!!
