They do make infants tylenol. It worked well for my niece and nephew. A humidifier would probably help out also. They also have vicks baby wash, that you just put in their bath water that helped also.

I have a 3 1/2 month old who has had a cold since 3 weeks of age!! Make sure she see a physician to rule out anything else it could be, i.e. RSV, bronciolitis. If it is JUST a cold, I suggest you let it run it's course. Use saline drops (1/2 tsp salt to 1 cup boiled water - be sure to let the water cool to room temperature before administering) use a nasal aspirator to suction out any mucus which can cause post nasal coughing. Try running your shower with hot water only and sit in there with her, with the door shut for about 20 minutes. The steam should help loosen up any congestion. A humidifier running at night where she sleeps would be helpful, as well as propping to head of her crib with blankets UNDER the mattress so she is elevated some. I wouldn't use anything over the counter UNLESS she has a fever, and maybe call your doctor for the right dose for her weight. Good luck!! BTW - I'm a mommy of 3 so have been through this many, many times.

You could try giving her some Infants Tylenol for colds, but if she has a viral infection, the cold meds probably wont help much. Is she congested as well? a humidifier would help with that because it puts moisture into the air but if she isn't, i wouldn't use it because cooler air tends to make colds and flu's worse. Seek the advise of her pediatrician beforehand and give her lots of cuddles. Good Luck and i hope she feels better real soon =)

you can get infant Vick's and rub a little on baby's chest to help break up the cough. Wrap a flannel scarf around neck with the Vick's. A warm mist vaporizer will help tremendously for their breathing. If not better in a couple of days call Dr. baby is really little,no meds without Dr.approval. Good Luck!

ur not supposed to give tylenol until they are 6 months old, it says that right on the bottle.. and even then, its just a tiny bit, i think u should ask her doctor before u do anything..
as far as the humidifier goes, my peditrician told me i can get a humidifier, but i absolutely have to get one with a filter in it, because if u dont the baby could get sick from not having a filter in it.
if she lost her appetite, ask ur doctor what to do..

calpol hun Calpol Infant Suspension contains paracetamol, suitable from 2 months For a baby, a cough or cold is an inevitable part of growing up. Most baby coughs, colds and fevers can be eased with an appropriate treatment, but it is always worth consulting your GP or health visitor if the problem persists.

I wouldn't giver her anything unless she has a fever..then use tylenol. Get a humidifier for her room...or steam up the bathroom. It helps clear out their noses.

After you've called the doctor and ruled out the need for antibiotics I'd just give tylenol for fever and make sure she has fluids. She's too little to take a whole lot.

There is not much you can give at that age. Little Noses Saline Drops helped clear the nose up for our little one...especially after the cold runs its' course and the nose starts to dry up. This will help her breath better when sleeping.
