2 totally different styles of playing,Buckethead(aka Paul Gilbert) is more of a milion notes a minute player and Slash is more blues in the groove player. That would sound like poo together.
Kenny Wayne Shephard & Slash is more like it .
For a twin guitar attack,Downing & Tipton,Smith & Murray will always top the list.

buckethead and slash have never played in a band together. one guy said jones/richards. any stones fan knowns brian jones was a weak weak guitarist. most songs he just stood there with a tamborine. mick taylor and ronnie wood are far superior guitarists than brian jones.
the greatest guitar duo in any band ever probably would have to be
1. dickey betts and duanne allman (the few shorts years they were together)
2. jerry garcia and bob weir (bob weir was the weak link in this duo, but his percussion style of play complemented the dead very well)
3. angus and malcom young. (not the hardest songs in the world, but they rock like no other guitars can.)
4. keith richards and ronnie wood (taylor was better than wood, but woodie has been around a heck of alot longer)
5. mike cooley and jason isbell of the drive by truckers. (patterson hood also plays guitar, but isbell and cooley are the guitar wizs in this band.

I'm with Joe E on this one. I LOVE Slash and I think he's an awesome guitarist but I wish Buckethead would just drop off the face of the earth so I can't put him in a "best" of anything.
