I think they're amazing people. Their sense of humor is different from most other people (it's very sarcastic and dry, in my experience...but so is my sense of humor, so I get along fine with them!).
Most of them are hard-working, but I have had bad experiences with lazy ones...like the ones who were supposed to drop off my furniture, but didn't come upstairs to deliver it after I answered them on the intercom...and the ones who don't wipe their feet when they come into my house. That last one drives me NUTS.
They have good food, excellent beer, and the BEST wine.
They also have a lot of pride (as they SHOULD!), and an incredible history. It cracks me up that Germans don't think that something built in the 13th century is old, and they don't bat an eye at castles.
Altogether? I love the German people, and I'm really going to miss this country when I leave it in a year.

i perceive the German people as a strong people both physically and mentally. They are hard workers who agressively apply themselves toward their goals. They are loyal and are a good ally to have in times of trouble... even tending to be self sacrificing.

They can be stubborn and stiff necked which goes along with their being loyal. They are a determined lot. They live hardy lives as reflected in their beer and food.

I like the German people.

They are my comrades. If you English is anything like your writing you do good at it. :)

I'd like to learn German myself one day. I've dated a few German girls in my life time and I couldn't understand a word their parents were saying to me. My girlfriends had to translate everything.

That they're human beings like I. Besides, with all the interracial coupling going on in the world today, very soon we won't have one distinct race of people! Here's to hybrids, we are the future!(and need less fossil fuels ;-)

A bit too pally with the french for my liking. Seriously though they've done a great job with their country since WW2 'the revenge.'

I have been to Germany and found it to be a clean and pleasant place.

They seem alright - strangely devoid of humour and ruthlessly efficient but nice none-the-less.

"so ein Mist!" "so eine Unverschaemtheit!" or like dogtags says: became für ein...? (ein ought to agree in gender and grammatical case, depending on the function of the noun contained in the sentence): ...became für einen Tisch suchen Sie? ...became für eine Dame ist sie? ...became für ein wunderschönes Haus! zirp · 4 weeks in the past
