Don't you think that only an undefeated team should play them? If you do not have a perfect record then you shouldn't play OSU for the national championship.

THAT would imply boise state play osu for the NC...and lets be honest that would ne a train wreck...boise state is undefeated...but they never played anyone...i see ur point and it is somewhat valid, but ur over looking the fact that the 2 "best" teams should play for the NC...not just based on record...anyone could schedule 12 piece of cake games and be undefeated...well almost anyone that has a notable program

no, that argument is just as ridiculous as determening a team's ranking based on simply who a team lost to.
we should all know that the rankings take a lot of things into account: more than just win-loss record and who a team loss to. overall strength of schedule is observed. in addition, the pollsters look to see if a team is getting better, staying the same or getting worse.
at the end of the season, there could be more than 2 undefeated teams. what would you do then?
also, if only undefeated teams were able to play for the "natty" then teams would go out of their way to schedule creampuff teams in an effort to boost their win-loss records.
but for this year, it is what it is. michigan was #2 for a long time but they lost in their chance. the pollsters clearly want someone else, and it's not undefeated boise state.
michigan probably has a legitimate gripe, but since their fans are all just a bunch of crybabies, i'd rather see michigan in another bowl game. you don't see the actual team and coach carr crying about it. they've accepted it. so should everyone else.

Nope..cuz if you go with that theory, then good teams would only play cupcake games all year just to be undefeated....that would be terrible for college football b/c you wouldnt get great matchups during the season.
I think i know what youre getting at, and no, boise st. cant hang with any team in the top 15.

No. Michigan should play them for the NC. Michigan's only loss was to them ranked #1. USC lost to an unranked team.
