Junior Kindergaten starts at agae 4 then senior at age 5. Grade one is age 6.

It will depend on whether you send you child to pre-school or not. It will also depend on the law in your state, county, and school board. Most places say that your child must be a certain age by a certain date.

If going to pre-school, kids usually start around age 3 or 4.

Kindergarten, usually age 5.

Check out your local school and they will be able to tell you what is appropriate for your child. Sometimes the schools do a pre-screening that lets you know if your child is ready for school at that particular time.

Here in Florida, they start Pre-school at 4 for 2 hours a day, But my preference was starting mine at 5 years old for all day preschool. It was great and he was ready then. Sometimes at 4 they're still not ready. I would say 5 years old.
