Yes way too much. Those people are missing great shows like South Park and Family Guy.

I haven't been able to afford brand new comics in a long time.
What has been happening over time is a panic in some countries, like Canada and America as fans dribble off and head over to Manga and Anime. So to try to get them back they have some horrible hideous comics done and some Manga comics done (of their characters) and hope that will make up for the lost.
Then the normal Comic Styles of the companies shift to that Hideous junk,.. and noone can stand it. The loss of Good Artist during all this junk or good artist finding it more relaxing to do another Countries Style of art in their comics... leaves people with less of the good Comics. All the writing, storylines, series/chatracters, artist.. all slip off.
So your really probably noticeing more of Fake Japanese Style and less of the Good American Styles. Noone wins,.. trust me.

I think it's great. I much prefer manga-style to Western comic book art.

well its becoming popular, and when something is popular its going to be all over everything for a while, like the car insurance commercials. regardless once the fad ends, it will return to normal and pick up the new fad.
