Every fossil, every observation in biology points to evolution. There is nothing that goes against it or points to a different way to scientifically explain modern diversity. There is not one fossil or one piece of DNA that does NOT point to evolution. It would be hard NOT to see the concrete evidence, and only those blinded by faith can do this.

Evolution is 100% world-wide accepted fact, including the evolution of man.

There is ZERO evidence for a higher being causing anything. This is why people who are religious need faith, you can't see or study the actions of a deity, by definition. Evolution has ZERO faith and ALL evidence.

Scientists (real ones) have been studying and supporting evolution for over 150 years, and still nothing has pointed to creationism. There is clear links and transitional forms between everything in the fossil record to the Class-Family level, if not Genus-Species level. And this includes humans, which there are several 'missing links' which are well described and studied, people just choose to ignore this. Sure, there are still things we don't know, but that's why science is not stagnent and dead. We learn more every day, that's what happens when you keep an open mind and follow the scientific method.

There are some areas of evolution in which all of the pieces have not been found in the fossil record, but there is no counter theory that has even ONE piece of evidence that can not easily be explained by evolution.

Let me turn the question around, if Creationism was correct and science could definitively prove Creationism (and thus the existence of God), why would they not? That would be the greatest scientific discovery in the history of the world. No one would pass that up to maintain the 'status quo'. There is no conspiracy to hide creation evidence. Anyone who knows real scientists knows they are glory-mongers first. They love to prove others wrong to enhance their own standing. And if any scientist could prove Creation/God, it would've been done a long time ago.

Go to a museum, take a class in biology, go to reputable sites on the Internet (like AAAS: http://www.aaas.org/news/press_room/evolution or http://www.talkorigins.org ) and find out for yourself.

No. The idea that we came to be from nothing is simply absurd. Evolution has absolutely no likelyhood of happening, as does it's opposition, the creation theory. Statistically both are impossible. So the belief in something that is impossible would put you in the realm of faith, which would be religion. Evolution, like Christianity is a religion. Evolution teaches that since we came to be from nothing when we die we go back to nothing. So there are absolutely no consequences for what we do while we are living, no right or wrong. Christianity on the other hand, has a Bible that writes of what is right and what is wrong and what happens if you do not believe. This question basically comes down to a question of where your faith is. Do you believe in a God who created the world or do you believe that life just miraculously began from nothing then slowly evolved to what we know it as today.

I dont think that evolution has anything to do with religion. I think it is possible for a higher being to have created the earth and what not (although i dont personally believe this) and have evolution still occur. Evolution is not a theory, it has been observed several times and is just a way for life to adapt to a changing environment. I think people think of evolution on too small a scale for it to make sense to them. Evolution of one species to another happens over millions of years! It is caused by random mutations (mistakes) in meiosis (production of sperm and egg). some of the mistakes are not favorable for the environment or even for life, but some just happen to give the organism some sort of advantage in the environment it is in. The organism then does well and passes this trait on to its offspring. this must happen many times before we see a new species or even a noticeable trait. No humans did nove evolve from the monkeys we see today, but from a common ancestor. Chimps and humans branched off from a common ancestor millions of years ago. you cant think of it as "evolving from monkeys".

Believing is in the realm of religion not science. Trouble between science and religion is that they do not understand each other. In science we do not go by belief and do not claim to be right. In science we have tentative explanations about nature. The explanation changes as new evidence comes to light. Under the current set of evidence I think evolutionary theory does a good job of explaning the existance of species. It is not a belief, but a critical analysis bases on physical evidence. Note also that evolutionary history, just like other history is biased since we do not have a record of everything!

I believe in evolution. Why? Because it is currently the most probable explanation for the occurrence of life in the universe.

I do not believe in "Darwins Theory" of evolution, however there is evidence some forms of evolutionary occurances, sometimes more commonly known as adaptation.

I believe in evolution because it seems to be a logical way to explain how plants, animals and people developed across the millenia to be the way they are now.

(I also believe God created the universe... evolution is just one of his tools.)

No need to believe in it, evolution is a fact.

No I don't. It is scientifically impossible to get one completely different thing from another. True we share genes but we also share genes from many other things as well. As far as evolution is concerned I think in a learning sense yes I believe in it but not the genetics part. What I mean learning sense for example is going from stone tools to bronze then to steel. You get the idea.

As humans we are always evolving and we always will... as time goes by or we will all blow our selves up with our stupidity ..
