Yeah. Smile, be polite, open a door etc. It's only a little thing but it does make you feel better doesn't it?
Thank you for your question and have a nice day!

just seeing a kid being a kid always makes me smile reminding me sometimes it's OK not to take myself so seriously. Finding a good book in the library. Or when I bump into someone and we both back off then say o sorry and you just smile because it's like the saying, "I know you, you are just like me."

as sad as it sounds, it makes my day when one of my bosses calls me by my name. I work at a large e-commerce center. I have about 200 people on my shift. I am a temp and want to get on permenant after the holidays. I have shown up on every day that was voluntary and came in early/stayed late when requested. I have tried to learn what ever I can (except power equipement) to make me valuable. It makes me feel like it has been noticed when they remember my name or ask me to train someone new. Have a great day.

Because most of us live in such sadness and disappointment that we look for the little things. It's like holidays, those of us who are sad ( and possibly more intelligent) despise holidays. We would rather be given a gift from the blue than have someone tell us it is necessary! We look for real, rather than fixed!

There are so many small things that are so appreciated that people have done for me. I have small children, and really appreciate people opening doors, letting me through, or giving me a shopping cart when they see me coming.
Also, once someone gave me a coupon at a department store just because they were about to leave and did not need it.

Open a door for me, when I am walking into a store or exiting a store! That makes my day!
