Definately visit New York City ... and Niagra Falls is not too far away. Visit the nation's capital Washington D.C. they have alot of culture and neat things there .. but if you visit anywhere you MUST visit New York City ... I wen't there when i was 14 and i wish i could live there now! I hate Texas lol .. if you stay in New York City, stay near Broadway 45th street that is an AWESOME place in the Heart of the city ... you don't even need a car you can walk everywhere and see all the amazing things .. 2 minute walk to Times Square ... you might get on National Television!

Glacier National Park, Montana Great Basin National Park, NV Upper Peninsula, Michigan Flagstaff, Arizona Wind Caves, South Dakota This is a few of the thousands of places to sightsee and experience. America has some of the best land in the world, many people here are too short-sighted to notice it from their shopping malls. Take advantage of it before it has a price tag put on it and it is sold and developed!

Ohio is a great place to live; but I wouldn't want to vacation there.
There are some cool things though like the Ohio Caverns and other less explored cave systems. George Washington national Park in west virginia is nice. Not that theres anything in particular about it. Just the first time I was so away from everything that I could scream as loud as possible and no one could hear me. The montains nearby are nice to look at.

It depends on where you are going to be travelling to. New York City, NY is full of a little bit of everything to see. I had a blast on vacation there. Shopping, seeing Lady Liberty, The Empire State building, seeing Broadway plays, that sort of thing.
I live in Ohio and I would recommend in Ohio visiting, The Old Mansfield Reformatory in Mansfield Ohio. Holmes county Ohio for a chance to see and purchase Amish made goods. Columbus is full of little things to see and do. There is Franklin Park Conservatory, which has an incredible Chihuly exibit. The Art Museum, Cosi, Shopping in the Short North, dining in German Village, Shopping at Polaris and Easton Towne Center. There are oodles of outdoorsy things to do in Ohio as well. I enjoy the Hocking Hills region, as well as the Mohican State Park region.
I guess it really depends on where you are travelling to in the US as to what you could list. :)
