Freedom of speech and exercising the vote gives anyone the right to complain. If people don't like their political situation - in a free and democratic society - it is their right and obligation to speak out...working toward change and improvement.
Freedom of speech is now a convenient term...used only when it is good for those who use it. Sad...as it is the basis of democracy. It is what the troops are fighting for in Iraq.

The United States was the first country in the history of civilization to guarantee under a constitution, to all its people - just not any special or selective class, the freedom to voice opposition against the policy of the government or it leaders. This included the right to practice or not to practice any religion without fear of persecution, imprisonment, or corporal punishment. Back in the late 1700's, it was seen as an experiment that would most likely fail.
For nearly 230 years these "experimental" rights continue to be protected for the people, by the people, and exercised by the people. The "experiment" continues.
However, much like a child that is given new liberties, once given it - it's difficult to take back, and not only that, but the child becomes so use to its freedom that it "stomps" it feet on the ground demanding and screaming for more, or that what it has isn't enough or not the right kind, In other words, the spoiled child just enjoys acting spoiled and exercising its freedom to do whatever because it's the child's right. This isn't so in many countries throughout the world. But it is a freedom which is protected and upheld by the government of the United States of America.
Those who voice opposition to any policy of the US federal government are exercising their rights and freedoms. Much like a weightlifter who exercise their muscles at the gym. Its what make the US strong. Its what makes the US the country where more people worldwide fight to get into, not out from.
Perhaps the "experiment" in democracy is threatening to other forms of government because it requires open debate to its laws and provides rights and freedom that would otherwise not work in a close and guarded society which truly benefits the few - like its leadership with a few crumbs kicked off to its police watchdogs.
So I say, keep those who voice opposition or even hatred against the United States right here in the United States, because even if they don't realize it, they are the ones who truly help to make this country great.

We have the best system in the world . Wouldn`t want to live any where else but you must agree nothing is perfect and can always use improvement. If something is let go it will go down everything has upkeep. Have you ever heard of rapid continuous improvement. We need to complain to make sure that they know we are watching them !!!! That keeps them from going to far .

It's much easier to vote, that's what we do when we get really dissatisfied. Did you notice that back on November seventh?
I'm getting the feeling we should just blindly accept what our leadership does in our name by your question. Is this accurate?

Good idea. No clue why people cannot just move elsewhere.
Elect a great President like Bush and move to other countries. Damn good idea.

People complain because they have rights and freedoms to express their views on the US policies.

Well when the first complaint is that the current US leadership stole it, why would we abandon our country to thugs who steal?

I think it would be easier to have the "leadership" moved than millions of people, don't you think? Despite your illusions, there ARE nice, logical people out there.

So what are you saying? We should just blindly follow or get out? Blindly following our leaders is equal to treason, as far as I'm concerned.
