When travelling in most European countries you must take a hazard triangle to place behind the car in case of breakdown ( some countries you must have two, for front and back). The police in France also have apparently become so irritated wiith British drivers speeding they are now incredibly harsh so don't speed( or don't get caught speeding more to the point)
