Hi..My name is Tiffany and I'm 21 years old. My husband and I just had a baby 8 months ago. Recently we have had sex twice without protection one of the times was like the day after I ended my period the other I think was like a week or two later..I just got my period the day before thanksgiving..I thought it was a normal period but it started out kinda light..but then it was dark and i used a tampon but it never got soaked then it was really brown. It only lasted about 4 days. I just took a pregnancy test yesterday morning and it was negative. It was a cheap test..like $2.00. I have been feeling sick and i'm just not sure. I dont know if its just that i want to be pregnant or if i really am. Could it have been to early to tell or just a cheap test?
Thanks for listening..

You could have just taken the test too early. Or your body may still be adjusting to the baby you just had. Even having sex right at ovulation you only have a 25 percent chance of conceiving so just because you had sex around that time doesnt mean that you are. Give it another week or so and then try again. If you still get results that you dont think are accurate then go to your doctor. But the cheap tests do work as well as the other ones. The more expensive test just usually work sooner but they both test for the same thing. Good luck and I hope this helps.

yeah, because my friend took a cheap test and it gave up negative, and four months later she found out shes like...5-6 months pregnant, and wasnt showing because shes so small. The cheap test dont work good, and really any home pregnancy test can be wrong! I mean..you have the symptoms of it because the way you described your last period or whatever. And people usually ovulate a week or so after their period and if you did it a week or so after or even 5-6 days before you ovulate your probably pregnant. Sperm lives in you for 5-6 days. Good Luck!

Tiffany, just call your doctor and don't second guess. I will say this, in the first year after having a baby, it sometimes takes time for your body to get back into the groove. I have had two sons, and I can tell you that my body and periods were off in the first few months after they were born. Also, you and your future baby will be better off if you wait a while longer and give your body a chance to get back to normal before conceiving again. When in doubt, always check with your physician!

i took a cheap test and the results were right i was pregnant but you should see your obgyn asap. 14 days after your period is the best time to get pregnant.

it might have been to early, but i doubt you are. if you have sex like 10 to 14 days after your period than you could get preg. not the day after your period

i would wait about a week and try it again with the pregnany test. i doubt that you're pregnant but you never know. better safe than sorry. but wait a week and then try another one. but buy a better one. try the Error Proof Test.
