I find that abstinence is pretty effective.

Well, the best action you can take to ensure you don't get pregnant is just to NOT HAVE SEX.

If you find yourself unable to abstain from having sex, your next best bet is to go on some form of birth control and make sure any and all sexual partners wear condoms - ALWAYS. It only takes one slip-up to make a baby. (Yes, you should use both - birth control doesn't always work - a friend of mine was on the 3-month shot, had just gotten it, and wound up with a baby. The baby will be 2 in June, a month after Amanda graduates high school. Aside from that, birth control doesn't protect you from STDs, and some of those STDs kill. You don't want to die.) if you're too young to go to a doctor on your own to get birth control, you should probably talk to your mom about it. Or you could just not have sex, because if you're not old enough to obtain birth control yourself, you're not old enough for sex.

Another way to keep yourself from getting pregnant is to masturbate. There is nothing wrong with masturbation. You get sexual pleasure from it, and there's no risk of pregnancy or STDs, because it's just you. You don't have to worry about anything with masturbation, and you're not wallowing in a pit of sexual frustration, either.

But, ultimately, it's your choice. Do what you think is best for you, but remember: your choices have consequences. If you think you are ready to be a parent, to quit school, get a job, pay rent, bills, insurance, car payments, daycare, and everything else that comes with single motherhood, be my guest.

Good luck, and make the choice that is best for you and your circumstances.

The aspirin method. Take and aspirin, place it between your thighs and squeeze them together to hold it in place. If you do that you won't get pregnant. I promise. Seriously no other form of birth control is 100%.

Just don't have sex until you're ready for it. If you're being pressured then he's not worth your time. There's nothing wrong in NOT having sex.
