Put some loud music on (try not to disturb your neighbours). Get yourself a nice drink and think of something that you enjoy, or some other place that you would rather be, like on holiday for instance. I know it's difficult, but try not to think of the thunderstorm as threatening. Just as an act of nature. Thunderstorms are nothing to be afraid of.

I have been afraid of thunderstorms ever since I can remember. The only thing that helped me is comforting someone else, my little nephew is so afraid of thunderstorms.. so I had to pretend not to be. It really kind of worked!

Just think of it as a purely scientific process. Its basically just an electrical short circuit on a larger scale. If that doesn't work, try and look at how beautiful a thunder storm actually is. Its actually pretty exciting!

Get yourself over to tornado alley in the us,wait till you see a good
one,then walk towards the eye of the storm and enjoy.

Phobias whatever they are have to treated carefully. You will probably need to get professional help and therepy. If you are terrified of storms please go to an accredited professional and work out how to approach your phobia. There is no easy answer or cure all. Good luck

Whats there to be afraid of? Its just noise and lightning. Its not going to hurt you. Don't go out side with an umbrella though!!!!

you can think about something else when its going on think about like the angels r bowling or that the sounds r from and movie, i think thats the best way

go outside with a large metal rod, holding it high above your head... if it starts to rain, maybe wait under a tree?
