My husband recently "confessed" to me that basically he doesn't like it when I get him thoughtful things (like last year he was complaining that his shampoo kept falling out of the shower off the side, so I bought him a thing that hangs off the shower head) and really he just wants what's on his list. He's basically telling me that if I got him a bunch of "crap" according to him, and not everything on his list, that it would ruin his Christmas. Yet, while we're out and I go to pick up something while he's there, he gripes that I'm ruining his Christmas, when he already knows what he's getting!!!! Are any other men out there this whiny?

I completely understand where your at. My husbands family was always a Christmas list family.. not so much with mine.. we thought about what to get and got it. Last Christmas I swear if he looked any more disappointed that I didn't get some silly gadget that he wanted (very expensive and practically useless) he would have been pouting like a 2 year old. As boring as it is mostly stick to his list.. but also sneak in that one thoughtful thing you know he's been wanting just doesn't want to admit to. thats how I do it. Less complaining. :) good luck!

Not all men are like that. Just be thankful he HAS a list. Every time I ask my husband what he wants for Christmas he says he doesn't know. (We already agreed on one important gift for the both of us, so it won't be a surprise or anything.) I wish he had a list, it's not like begging, I need ideas!

So, um, just get him stuff off his list. If he pouts that you didn't get him everything, tell him money was running short!

No. Your man is really acting like a self centered idiot.
