No...the way our Indian team r playing currently i don't think so.Batting has been pathetic.losing all the recognized batsman within 15 overs nd less than a 100 runs on the board.Even bowling has been a concern over a decade.Indians have been getting early break throughs yet not being able wrap up the lower orders.Fielding too is a bit of concern.plenty of drop catches misfield.I see no aggression in the team.Where r the team hurdles these days?Moreover the pitches in Win dies doesn suit the Indians,who lost to Win dies 4-1 earlier this year.So i think winning the world cup is a tough ask...

According to current form, India cannot even reach semi final stage. However, since World Cup is couple of months away, there is to improve the performance of the players. The forthcoming one day series against Sri Lanka and West Indies can be used to try out few talented youngsters for consideration among world cup probables.

A fresh selection is made after deciding criteria for selection for each post. For example DRAVID WILL MAKE 10 - 63 RUNS IN 108 BALLS, It is equivalent to 30 - 160 runs in 50 overs. Such negative play to be retained in the team can make individual statistics good, BUT INDIA CAN NEVER WIN.
SUNIL G. also did same thing.
They are good for test but not for ODI.
In the selection criteria shall ensure that these negative factors are taken in account.
SECONDLY,
If team does not win,
change 2 b,man, 2 blrs, 1 all rndr, 1 wickt kpr ( if did not do well).
If team does not win series,
REMOVE
BCCI-PAWAR,
SELECTOR-VENSKR
COACH-CEPAL
CAPTAIN-DRVD, SWG
THE WHOLE TEAM
Make again a fresh selection.
INDIA IS FULL WITH TALENT BUT POLITICS AND REGIONALISM HAS MADE IT A ROT.
Pl come out of POLITICS and REGIONALISM.
Give chance to the BEST CAPABLE, RESPONSIBLE INDIAN.
I AM SURE INDIA WILL WIN AGAINST ANY TEAM IN THE WORLD.

as of now and the present status it seems India will not win a single match even if it is Bangladesh. It needs drastic changes in selecting the Indian team and the coach especially. Because Grieg Chapel trying to rotate the team as like Australia which is not fruitful.

I agree with u. According to india's performance, he is not winning matches ic saf. In last world cup, ind lost chance of world cup.
India's performence is like tsunami. When one batsman playes good innigs all playefrs play good.(except indian wall but not at all time!)
If india want to win world cup2007,they must stop experimentig. In matches we must keep 50% new & 50%old batsman. i think if new batsman (raina and other flop market) or old batsman(Sacchu.) can't perform, we can replece them. The time is so little & india must do this.

I am wondering if India can qualify to Quater-final .
Sometimes , DAY- DREAMS are pleasant -- but , surely not to the extend of India's wining 2007 world cup .
Unless , all Indians prefer to travel into fool's paradise

I don't think so. Because of two reasons
Form- The players are out of form and
Pitch- Pitches in West Indies do not favour India. We have seen this during the recent WI tour.

I feel strongly that Sourav Ganguli Should be brought back in (try in South Africa Test series) as CAPTAIN. & He should be given Chappel-free environment. He has been successful Captain who brought all the team member as TEAM INDIA & created joy & support within team which lacks & defeats the Indian team. He may not score runs but still he reasurres members of A UNITED TEAM, & motivates them.
NOW A DAYS, all team members look so insecure themselves, they need support,& No-chappel air
