what do people in the USA think of British people?

I'm a UK woman and am going over to the USA ina few months, so i am just curious.

Probably quiet a bit more affectionately than the converse.
Folks in the US have long had a strong affection for Brits, the Canadians, and the Aussies. Probably from having a moderately common culture and language.
A similar people divided by a common language is the joke.
Your gonna get a wide variety of responses, but I think the most widely spread, most common sentiment is in my first paragraph.
Then their's all those lovely accents. Most in the US love British accents. (I know, I know, we're the ones with the accents, lol )

I am not from the US, I am from europe, but living in Nepal at the moment, and studying in a private school that there are both lots of Americans and English people too..but as an observer form outside I can give you also some feadback...
It seems to me that although you are both speakers of the same language, there are cultural and lingual differences. I won't go into the cultural differences because It would be long...
but it seems to me that the English speak more correct English, and I like that, while the Americans speak more 'slung'.
The funny thing is that the Americans are the ones who are making fun of the English's English accent and not the English making fun of the American accent!
but deep down it doesn't matter... I've made good friends of both nationalities...
P.S. Please, I don't want the Americans to be offended! I just say what my eyes have observed!

I think they are Awesome, My mom being full blooded British, yet an American Citizen...So Im half British myself. I know we had our wars back in the days, but its over now. I havent anything against The British, I love how they talk! I call my Grandparents, Nanny & Pappy, my Mother, Mum.

Mostly that they have sexy accents.
That they drink a lot and are chain-smokers.
That they dress kinda funny.
That they spend their lives in pubs gettin drunk.
And that they have bad dental hygiene.
But not everyone has the same opinion.

The Bristish are cool, can't find any real fault with them. Good humour, great values, and good hospitality, all around pretty great people
