Nothing more expensive than flowers (if you are the type) until you know her better and have learnt her tastes, otherwise it might become embarrassing and the relationship cool. By all means buy flowers for her mother, then you will have one friend in the camp singing your praises.

This question reminds me of my first date with my boyfriend. We'd been texting,emailing,and talking on the phone for nearly a month before we went out-and one night I said to him that I fancied a nice glass of red wine-but I didn't have any,and then laughingly told him I didn't even have wine glasses because they'd recently been broken!
On our first date-rather than the usual flowers-he brought me a bottle of wine and some inexpensive wine glasses. I was well impressed-and it didn't cost him much at all!

something personal to you, eg if you mentioned something you like, or you have a shared private joke. i wouldnt expect a lot of expense but nothing too cheap either. a combination of things so that even if one thing doesnt quite hit the spot then there is something else, and it makes you feel spoilt and special.
eg tickets to a show/gig that you like, something you saw in a shop that you liked but didnt buy.

nothing too expensive cuz i would feel horrible taking it if we were not going out for long but something handy and nice like a bottle of perfume or nice thongs but dont get da size wrong try and get it small rather den a bigger size or u will be killed
