Maybe once you get out into the shops looking for pressies you will start to feel the Christmas spirit a little bit, get yourself off to Asda I've just bought 2 trendy polo shirts for my friends fellas for £5 each, some nice junky jewellery for my niece and a top and I have change from £20, they have tons of nice stuff at low prices for Christmas gifts, all under one roof and with the money you save you can treat yourself to a nice dress or top, go on spoil yourself, hope you feel a bit more Christmas's soon, be happy and good luck.

I'm in exactly the same state of mind, I haven't even bought presents for my 2 kids or thought what I will buy. I feel better about it today though because I've got my way and we're not going to the mother-in-laws, we're having our first family unit Christmas ever!. So that's good, on the other hand I've done nothing and will have to cook AND it's my birthday on Christmas eve!. I desperately hope to get festive soon, I usually love it - I hope you get the festive spirit back too, maybe if we start playing Christmas music and drinking baileys now?! Otherwise, roll on 2007!

I feel the same way you do except that I have a 5 year old. My opion is that the adults should let it be a time for family and getting together eating and having a good time and give the kids gifts. Everyone in my family has everything they need and I don't know what they want so I just give them money. Then I don't even break even because my sister and mom always give me clothes I don't like. I mean, I like to buy my own clothes! Sis always gets them on discount somewhere that's too far away to take back and I'm just sick of getting into debt every year and having to pay it all back at income tax time. I'm thinking about not giving anyone anything this year except my son, my mom and my grandmothers and just plainly say "I don't have the money"! I had rather receive a gift in the middle of the summer that someone found and said to theirself "Kaye would like this" and then give it to me then b/c it means more when someone gives you something on a day that they don't feel obligated to. I definately know how you feel!!! Bah! Humbug!!!!!

I like the Cavs but the Lakers are gonna take this one because they suck with Shaq hahahaha... I'd rather have Ben Wallace's contract back. At least then they'd have some consistancy. Lakers- 107 Cavs- 98 LeBron goes for 22 points/11 assists/and 5 rebounds. Kobe goes for 27 points/4 assists/and 3 rebounds. Shaq- 10 points/6 rebounds/1 block Bynum- 16 points/12 rebounds/3 blocks

I've been looking forward to it for weeks it's only the last couple of days I've started panicking that I'm not gonna have enough time or money to do and buy everything.Usually works out OK though.
Going to put the tree up at the weekend that'll get me in the mood.

I'm fed up with it all. It seems to start earlier and earlier each year in this commerialised, gimme, gimme, gimme, society that we live in nowadays...
Not a Grinch but I can't see the point in getting into debt to buy presents for people that:
We don't really care about that much anyway
Don't like what we have given them and they can't wait to get rid of it.
Try to outdo each other in the price stakes
etc etc etc.
To that end, we have stopped giving presents to all but a few select people, and we have a get together instead...

I am a Christmas fanatic! I look forward to it every year and I don't care about the gifts as much as the decorations, music and lights. I hope you catch the spirit!

Bah Humbug!! no really i suppose if i am honest I am looking forward to spending time with family and just relaxing, what i hate about xmas is the same old crapy adverts on TV, the same old rubbish music, and people asking if it will be a white xmas, when we know damn well in the UK that its very very unlikely and we dont ask if any other day will have snow. so any way back to my first thought bah humbug.
