FYI
before every one starts writing the same thing , how old and boring do you think we are!
it doesnt need to be his bday for me to have sex, get dressed up etc so try and think a bit better than that! thanks anyway

You know him better than anybody, so you probably have the best ideas.

But why not do something that you havn't done, or maybe do something that you only did when you were dating? or go somewhere that you went for your first date, etc.... bring back the memories of how happy you both are together and make it a birthday to remember.

Consider making him good food all day long....breakfast in bed followed by a light lunch and then a gourmet dinner. Or how about a full body massage? Those are soothing and relaxing, and at the end of the day will make him feel very content.

You can cook him a meal as you always do and invite some of his closest friends round aswell, ask them all to bring a bottle with them so you dont have to spend loads of money on alcohol. That way you have a little party for him and he gets to see all of his friends aswell! Have a good time x

If you are asking what can you do aside from the typically cliche be nice and cook (which should not be a once a year event) bring home another woman and make it an erotic meal. And the two of you ladies can spend the night pleasing him. :-)

It happens more often then you'd think. :-)

Give him an evening all about him. To save $$, cook a good meal at home, then treat him to a movie out. Let him pick ANY movie he wants to see.

Or maybe take him out for a cocktail and have a romantic walk out on the town.

when myself and my husband were younger and the kids were small, we didn't have an awful lot of money, I used to make a sort of party for him and his friends, no alcohol, nothing fancy, plenty of sandwiches and all done with lots of love. We used to enjoy walking, a long walk on a cold night makes a hot coffee and a good chat seem a whole lot better.

Well let's see, one must first know their husband and his strongest interests. There's more to life than sex. Whatever his interests are would be a clear indication as to what to get/do for him. Perhaps something that he would not get/do for himself. And only YOU know what that might be.
On various birthdays, I've given mine a surprise b-day party...A flying lesson...A hot air balloon ride.....A massage. None of which were all that expensive.

Buy model car racing set.....toys make even the biggest boys happy, and you can invite some friends over for a racing night nibbles and a drink.... £50.00 should cover it.

find a place where you can go like a picnic just the two of you, either sea side or mountain view, and then you both can relax, chat and remember those moments when you were still fresh and young, or could chatt about your kids if you have about their future...hope this could help, just thinking something different...goodluck!
