I've just posted my girlfriend's holiday savings to nobody in particular instead of taking it into the bank. I must have a neurological condition because I knew just before I let go that something was wrong about what I was doing, but I couldn't work out what, and just let go of the envelope.
I've posted many things without stamps before but I've got a feeling this is a bit more important. Why am I here at home typing to you people when I should be standing by the postbox waiting for the postman?
She'll be home in 1 hour. I know, I'll hide in the shed for a week or so.
Someone make me feel better by telling me I'm NOT the most stupid person on the planet. This will do my therapy no good at all. Blah blah, heavy sigh.

I was holding a cup of coffee in one hand, my car keys in the other along with the letter I wanted to post. I stuck both the letter AND my car keys in and just let go, had to wait for ages till the postman came....smoked about 40 fags in the freezing cold. When the postman came about 4 hours later, he would not let me look in the bag in case i stole a letter!! I had to talk him into doing it for me, as he did'nt really care at first.

Mate, you're not the most stupid person on the plant. That would be your girlfriend for going out with someone as stupid as you. How could you leave the postbox? You should've been sitting on it until the posty arrived. I know they can't give you any letters back, but if the envelope is unaddressed you should've been OK.

She's gonna kill you dude.

p.s. How much are we talking? Weekend away savings or 3 week cruise?

p.p.s You're not stupid for posting it - just a bit mental for not sticking to it like glue

"No you are not a stupid person, an idiot too, you have done this to my holiday saving. go get it back otherwise do not see me for the rest of your life." this is what you will hear now from her.

but I do not think you are as stupid as you make out of yourself. try to retrive it. and only way is to wait for the postman. or go to post office and lodge a complaint.

now, about me, I have posted a cheque instead of an envelope and then had to go in for a "stop payment" mode.

It wasn't actually me who did this but my nine year old nephew. We had a massive snowfall in March this year and everyone was out. My nephew, the little minx he is, decided to post snow through people's letter boxes! I stood back and started laughing my head off. It was so funny!
