How often is the audience's answer correct in in the "Ask the audience" element of the TV show "Who wants to be a millionaire?". How many times have they been asked and how many times have they got it right? No guesses please.

I checked several sources on the web. They show a success rate of between 91% and 92% for the 'ask the audience' questions, compared to a 2/3 success rate for the 'phone a friend' lifelines.

I suspect this is true for two reasons... 1) you are polling a larger group of people. 2) ask the audience is often used much earlier in the game on the easier questions that are appropriate for general knowledge and thus the audience.

Oh yeah let me get my journal since I kept record of all that data since I am a potato couch and watched every single episode.....of course you're not going to get anyone other than type of person I described above to answer this question. You'll have to let them offer some estimate and guesses. I've seen many episodes where the audience was wrong on simple questions even...
