one thing I see"
They are not taught respect in school, especially home.
another thing:
Parents seems now, they don't take time to listen to them. It is our job to teach them. not someone else.
Young people grow up by leadership present....
just thinking out loud....

not all of them. i dnnt own an Ipod. I do like nice clothes, but who doesn't.
and in the past generation they walked around saying grooooovvyyy, whats wrong with cuz and dis. its something that will fade away in a couple years then the next generation will have something else "cool" to say.
Now lets not forget that most of these kids don't have jobs, so their parents are supplying their cell phones and their Ipods, and in that case, its the parents to blame, NOT the child. I think that alot of it has to do with parenting, i was raised to work for what i want and to respect what i have and not take advantage of it. If i wanted something, i worked for it. I was raised with responsiblity. i may not be an old adult, but i moved 4 states away from home and i live on my own taking care of myself at the age of 20. I know some parents that had supplied the electronics and everythin else their children wanted, and the result of that is the "younger generation" that you are speaking of.
I think that adults fail to see the good things about the younger generation.
im sure that when this generation is older they will be looking down on the generation just as they were looked down upon. Every generation has teenagers.

yeah just like all the young generations before them,EVER
this is a youth phenomina
you were probably the same when you were a kid ,although the language may have been a little bit different, and there was less technolegy
but in the past they were playing with different things ,like swords or cockfights
and instead of cell phones they hung around coffeeshops or bars also talking sh*t for hours sometimes days on end.
Nothing really changes

Nothing is wrong with the generation, something is wrong with the parents.
If the teen is old enough to hold a job and pay for their cell phone, then they can use it all they want.
Remember peer pressure? "She has a cell phone/iPod/Wii, why can't I?"
It is up to the parents to monitor their children,a dn say NO once in a while. It's a lost art. I refuse to let my children talkt o me using incorrect English, but I could care less what they say to their friends.

I'm sure your parents thought the same about your generation. Even though it was a different time and technology wasn't as good as it is now. But i'm sure you talked with some slang and dressed a certain way...etc. And i'm sure I'll think the same about my son's generation and so on.
