the bbc, sky news , the mirror and the sun dont go into the polling booth and vote people do, give each individual the credit they deserve they are all intelligent people who can make up their own minds.
However anyone that votes conservative needs their head testing or their bank accounts frozen.

Well, democracy is one thing, financial mismanagement is another.
If politicians stopped copying the obnoxious marketing and Public Relations mishaps which started in the USA [sorry folks I feel for you] and concentrated on winning their seats, because they as individuals are able to persuade the voters, from a milk crate in the streets if necessary, that they will faithfully represent the wishes of the electorate - they wouldn't need to spend so much money on glossy brochures full of manifesto dreams, and bill boards, advertising agencies, leaflets, postage and all the rest of the costs of a national advertising campaign. Anyone who has been in business will tell you how exhorbitant agency fees are and all the other costs.
What worries me is that if they are unable to run their organisation's finances properly - how the heck can we expect them to manage the country's finances? The Conservatives left the UK finances in good shape in 1997 - as New Labour's own records show - when the Conservatives took over from Labour last time they had to sort out one hell of a mess!
Of course they will want to push the costs on to us by voting themselves a few £billion per party. I say - give them travel costs with receipts, a pair of step ladders and an umbrella, and get the ******** to go out and work for their votes.
I have never had a visit from a candidate in all the years I have had a vote - except from a man who had launched the Albion Party and decided to stand against Martin Bell and Neil Hamilton and he only got .03% of the vote.
Time was when politicians were gentleman and were not paid and worked with conviction - now we just have cardboard cutouts of career politicians who know very well that one term in office will set them up for life financially. On their salaries - how do they afford 2 or 3 houses with huge mortgages?
We even pay local councillors £20k a year and expenses - that too was once a job of honour and unpaid!
Democracy is a word - we actually live in a Beurocracy with increasing numbers of state employees to keep the unemployment figures down.

Partly, I'd say that it's proof that democracy in general doesn't work - if it did, votes shouldn't be able to be bought by the party that spends most, or the party favoured by the popular press. But as Churchill said, it's the worst system - except for every other system that's been devised.
Partly, the British electoral system doesn't work. If it did, we wouldn't have a situation where Labour won 37 MPs for every million votes cast in their favour, the Tories 22, and the LibDems 10. Or where (in England only) the Tories got 50,000 more votes than Labour at the 2005 election, but Labour won 92 more seats.

We like living in a democracy, even if it is sometimes slightly`wonky`. It is always preferable to a republic or a dictatorship. Yes it is a deplorable fact that the Labour and Conservatives are so appallingly in debt, they should be totally ashamed of themselves. This is a brilliant example of "living beyond their means" they are hypocrites, they tell us to curb our spending. I hope the people who made the loans to them, call them in a.s.a.p. Perhaps then, faced with bankruptcy, the government will will do the honest thing, and resign.

Its all part of a sleazy plot by the collective of democratic parties in UK to persuade the electorate, me/you, that we, the tax payers should foot the bill for their profligate spending and carry on paying their bills from our taxes.
VOTE NO!

It's ironic that we are going round the world trying to 'spread democracy' when ours doesn't even work properly!
