Avril Lavigne's "Complicated" was an original song created by her and the hit-making trio of record producers called The Matrix.

Carolyn Dawn Johnson sang a song called Complicated. Its a totally different song than Avrils. I'm pretty sure that Avril was the first to sing that song.

Complicated was actually written by "the Matrix" (a production company) and Avril Lavinge...if you have heard some one else singing it since then you have heard a cover version of the song. Avril Lavinge's version IS the original.

Well, Elvis died before Avril was even born, so if it really was him, then yes! But it could easily have been an impersonator.
