i wanna watch full metal alchemist but i wanna know what it is about first can sum1 help?

after their father's dissapearance and the death of their mother 2 teenage brothers edwin and alfonse elric try to bring back their dead mother using a science/sorcery called alchemy the ritual goes horribly wrong and al's spirit is stuck in limbo in an attempt to save his brother's spirit before it fully crosses over ed bonds al's soul to a suit of armor in the room the ritual took place at using his blood to do it
ed gets a prosthetic arm and leg and the 2 of them join the army which uses Alchemists (people who use alchemy) as weapons durring this time ed and al find hints about an item called the Philosipher's Stone which can brings folks back from the dead and start searching for it
that should get you through season 1

i guess the previous answerers have fully covered everthing well...hahaz..well it's a really nice show go watch it though i recommend reading the manga. they question things like even though scientists nowadays know so well what humans are made off and their compositions like iron sodium etc. but what's really missing that we humans still cannot create other humans...real cool.
