If you're staying in: a dab of clay face mask stuff. It'll soak up more, er, gunk from it.

If you're going out, rub in a little Polysporin or other antibiotic cream to help stop it getting even more infected, and keep the swelling and redness down.

After you gently pop a zip you should wash the area with your face cleanser, pat dry, then immediately apply some neosporin or other type of antibiotic ointment. That will help it from becoming red or infected. Later, maybe an hour later, you can put on some drying medication, such as Retin A (prescription) or over-the-counter zit stuff. The idea is to dry it up before morning. Don't overapply or you'll irritate it.

I used to believe toothpaste - but this just dries it out and that causes your skin to produce more oil! making the situation even worse! So I've now discovered if you put a tiny bit of vit E oil on a zit - it heals so fast!!! or tea tree oil. amazing - I didnt believe it but it really works!

tea tree oil or lavender oil. I mix them together as they work even better together in a rollon tube with a bit of grapeseed oil. works great and cheap!

if you don't have clearasil or an oxy product, use alcohol or hydrogen peroxide. I try not to put any makeup over for a while so it doesn't get infected and has a chance to heal.
