Nope. The tree goes up next weekend. The outside lights went up a couple of days ago. I usually buy presents throughout the year, so that I don't go broke at Christmas time. I won't wrap them until about a week before Christmas. I try to keep the Christmas music to a minimum, until about two weeks before, so that I don't get tired of hearing it (the radio stations seem to have them on a continuous loop). I've just realized what I want for Christmas this year. I want the Trans Siberian Orchestra's Christmas CD. Wow, are they ever great! What a show! <*)))><

Unfortunately, when you have no children in the house (the only one is grown and gone...won't be home for Christmas), putting up a tree just seems senseless. I love the idea and miss the family doing this together. They are all deceased. I do enjoy visitng my sister who still has one child left at home and watching their tree go up. I have a nice fire place this year and have been getting major ideas on how to decorate the fireplace. I have a nice green front door that I wrapped to imitate a gift with bow and ribbons. I've been told it's the hit of the complex. (smile) As for presents - I still love the idea of pulling names or secret Santa - we do that at our school with the students and teachers. I always get a name from the local mall's Angel Tree, and I always visit the nursing home and bring items to share. Since it's also my birthday - I try to think about other people instead of myself. When I was a kid - I enjoyed the attention of my birthday - now - I'm just glad that it keeps coming....(smile) NO extra outside attention is necessary...(smile)

Got the pressies, all wrapped and ready to give out, turkey in freezer, booze in cellar and just the fresh stuff to get a day or so before, no tree up yet, that usually goes up round about the 15th of December, then we can settle down and look forward to Christmas.

I've got the presents but haven't wrapped them yet - we're putting the tree up in 2 weeks. I can't wait! I feel so festive already! Our town is all decorated with trees and lights - but then I think they went up straight after Halloween!! ??

The tree is NOT up yet, and won't be for another week or so. If I put it up too early it gets real dried out, AND I get tired of looking at it. I have started with some small decorations though. And as for shopping...it's barely started...ugh.
