Larry Adler.
But Stevie Wonder is very good too (he played the harmonica solo on Eurythmics - There Must Be An Angel)

If you haven't heard Steve Hackett play harmonica, you haven't lived. He is as brutal with it as he is with electric guitar. Check out Blue Town on his Blues With A Feeling album for a taste. He actually started out playing harmonica in blues clubs and only later turned to guitar. Deserves a lot more recognition for both.

Well my vote would go to Little Walter (Walter Jacobs) listen to the phrasing and tone on "Juke" - Brendan Power is a great player too, and you just couldn't ignore Larry Adler, for all round technique.

I can only give opinion but I feel Neil Young is one of the best and so is Steve Tyler.
