Hey, I am looking for a bit of blog software or script that would allow me to eaisly start up two blogs (or news listings) on the same webpage, using my own webpage templates. Also allowing the management of the blogs as separate entities.

So for example, one is my blog, next to it on the other side of the webpage is my friends blog, and we are able to update our own without interfering with the others. Does anyone know of a piece of software or a script (preferably free) that would allow this?

Thanks :)

This is an extremely simple CMS (Content Management System), yet it creates new pages, categories, articles, etc. and can be completely customized.

This would be great for news listings. If you need blogging software I'd go with wordpress.

Movable Type. However to use Movable type for multiple blogs you need more than the free license (it is limited to one author, one blog)

Wordpress would allow what you are talking about if you set you and your friends entries into separate categories and manipulated the template to position them in that way.

I think you are doing this the hard way. I had the same question and I choose to use a host that uses fantastico that installs 30 scripts for you including blogs.

I would suggest you look at foreverhost.us or 899host.com
