Seeing is believeing?! I've lived in haunted homes MOST of my life(I'm 41 yrs old!) and I'm a clairvoyant/medium~ so this is also a hobby of mine!! If someone doesn't SEE with their OWN eyes something fly around the room or walk through a wall...they just WON'T believe!!!

I have never had a personal supernatural experience, all I have to go by is TV shows and word of mouth. If I start to believe in ghosts I'll also have to believe in unicorns, trolls, goblins, zombies, vampires, werewolves, santa claus, the tooth fairy. Where do you draw the line? Even if you somehow were able to talk to a ghost, how would you prove that it wasn't some advanced civilization of aliens trying to fool you? I do not believe it because there is no way I can ever be sure. Nothing in the world can prove anything else for sure. All I can prove is that I am conscious and I perceive, beyond that its all a mystery, and even that might be a lie.

Lets just say that there are about Three Hundred Million living in the U.S.A., Only about twenty-twenty five million have actually stated that they have seen a spirit in one form or another... Now 25 million out of 300 hundred million leaves two hundred and seventy five million people not even coming close to seeing anything.. And then there are those small percentage of Americans that have seen somethings strange but equate it to seeing a shadow, or a flashing light. Or someone else telling them it can't happen so it was never reported as a sighting....... Now those 20 million people don't care what others thinking or believe because what they experiences was very real and happen even if they were alone and this situation can't be argued away by saying all of you were breathing swamp gas or seeing Venus.... Now we have another five million people who just so happen to have others people witnessing what they are seeing. And now they start saying, that entire group were in a hysterical state of mind and those viewers and were over come by a mass illusion.......... Also you must remember that we have a Government that also tries to give us the mass illusion that they are in total control of everything And do what ever is in their power to show the world that they are in control. So now comes the mass disinformation that have some people not even believing in what they actually seen... And that also goes for the sighting of flying disks as well................................

Because they are not real. Even if you accept the notion that ghosts, spirits, or whatever exist is some realm beyond the physical laws of the known universe, you still would not see, hear, or feel them.
We understand energy, force, action/reaction, friction, and vectors and they could not simultaneously move and move through solid objects because you cannot be physical and not-physical at the same time - if you mess with someone in the physical realm - they can mess with you too.
Seeing, hearing, etc. is not necessarily believing. Go see a Penn & Teller show. There is no magic or psychic trick that cannot be explained or learned.

I think people are anxious to insist there are no ghosts because they are afraid of them. So much more comfortable to persuade yourself that something doesn't exist and then you needn't be frightened of the shadows that seem to move and melt into a face, or of the inexplicable fragrance that occasionally wafts past your nose, that smells exactly like your grandmother who died twelve years ago, it must be your imagination, mustn't it?
There's so much evidence for the existence of ghosts that it's hard to avoid the conclusion that some people are just too frightened to face the reality that ghosts really do exist.

My theory is that two different periods in time collide for some reason and we can view people from the past. If I see a ghost of a woman in 1880's attire, she is living her life in her time and I am glimpsing that for some reason. I assume she's a ghost when she's actually just going about her day and I am observing it.

I believe in ghosts. I've had some paranormal happenings at my home... it's just creepy.
I guess one of the reasons don't believe in ghosts is that they never encountered paranormal events. I've seen plenty of ghost shows with people who said that they were disbelievers at frist. But when they experience a paranormal event, they're not disbelievers anymore.

Because they are sad low lives who are boring because they have nothing to believe in.
They blame the noises on magnetic fields BUT how can they explain the sightings?????????
Some people are so stupid.
I never used to believe in ghosts but I can't help but believe because I've seen one so when a non-believer says oh your so stupid because you believe in ghosts maybe just think before you ridecule them eh???
