The line should have been drawn 20 years ago in the infancy of political correctness. I think it's too late to get rid of it. It's already caused irreparable damage to society.

Generally I draw the line right at the point where the term Politically Correct is uttered. You cannot legislate the way people think. The whole idea of political correctness smacks of the thought police and always has. It's called morals. If people act in a moral and ethical manner then there is no need for anything like political correctness. It is just a means to attempt to censor certain forms of free speech. Free speech is a right, you do not have to like what is being said, but you should respect the right to say it.

Political correctness is bull **** if you ask me... but it came about due to an on going evolution to the human race. The human race came from a savage past, they fought and killed to survive, they copulate to pass on their genes, the strongest ruled. But now, the world has changed.. you get short, small and the female species which are supposely weaker physically gaining power over the males. Education, propoganda, laws has changed the way human live. God knows what's going to happen next.

"Political correctness" is term first coined by Bush Sr., to dismiss legitimate advances on behalf of women and minorities. It became the perfect mantra for any stalwart conservatives to shrug off any complaints about policies that discriminated against same. There are obviously, extremists (you'll hear that great "true" anecdote about the feminist who slapped the man who held open a door for her, or criminals who play the race card unerringly) BUT overall, there still needs to be some gains made in how much women get paid for doing the same work a man does, and considerations for minorities from under-served communities.

This -- of course -- all gets shelved anymore in the name of not pandering to "political correctness". I bet many cons would've loved to have thought that term up during all those cumbersome civil rights marches in the 1960s.

I have no use for PC if it distorts the basic truth. Example: You go to buy a car, someone tells you it was 'well-loved'. Translation: They put a bunch of stickers on it, ran it out of oil, didn't take care of it, and now it's a heap, 'cause if they REALLY loved it, they'd take care of it and still be driving it. In other words, PC-speak is pure BS, most of the time, euphemistic double-talk meant to confuse and confound, and it's used 'cause if people got HONEST about stuff, somebody might get mad, and that could get ugly...so people PC their way around stuff, tap-dancing around problems, basiclaly they're lying by talking that way...
truth comes out eventually, I figure if you're honest from the start, it'll take less time...

When the liberals try to take away basic rights by using PC as an excuse, that is crossing the line

Nice hate site, did you make it yourself? But I digress...

The line on PC comes when it's used out of hand. Recently, I've heard this thing about a Congresswoman declairing she wanted black names for hurricanes, which made absolutely no sense. PC isn't so that everybody's happy, the whole "Happy Holidays" thing gets on my nerves too. It was initially made to lower the amount of insults thrown around, such as wet-back and *** being considered not-PC.

Thank you for posting this question. No thank you for the hate link. BTW, Liberals aren't the enemy, fascists are.
