You have deviated septum, which is a disorder of the nose. You should go see a doctor. But you said you already got your nose repaired. So the problem is that you just developed a habit of breathing through your mouth and now you have difficulty breathing through your nose. You should just keep your mouth closed and practice breathing through your nose. I have had this problem of breathing through my mouth and not my nose. But it was not because of deviated septum and I had to get a minor surgery. I hope this helps.

As you say your nose airway is now clear i think you may need to learn to breath through your nose again. Try half an hour everyday and build it up over a couple of weeks until you feel ok with it

Get this checked out and ask your Doc to send you to a specialist, an ear, nose and throat specialist at your local hospital.
Breathing in and out through you mouth is not a good idea. The nose, with all those hairs inside it, filters out a massive amount of dust from the air, which otherwise goes straight into your lungs via the mouth.

I had a deviated septum which made it difficult to breathe through my nose. I had it fixed about three years ago and it made a huge difference - you should definitely get it done. Having the operation was a doddle - the worst bit is having your nose packed for a day or so, and it's a bit weird having the packing pulled out (yards of it!) but apart from that, no problem. See your doctor.

If you're having trouble breathing through your nose as a result of the injury, go to see your GP. You will probably be referred for corrective surgery, (a nose job basically). Since this is a corrective (not cosmetic) nose job, it will be covered by the NHS, although you'll probably have to wait upwards of 6 months for the surgery. Good luck.

Try to cover your mouth for short periods of time to get your brain to reajust your congessness to breath through your nose.

Definitely a deviated septum. You should check with a doctor and tell him the problem. I'm sure they will be able to identify and correct the problem easily.
