How to bring harmony between people and countries that are fighting?

General question, not pertaining to any particular person or country.

well, the easiest way (and answer) is, let the new generation starts anew. let us, the current and prev generation step aside....

there's another answer, and of course the hard way...
forgive and forget.....tolerance.....sympathy.....
helping each other.......eliminate prejudice......
give a second chance........and trust.
....things that we, humans, lack of.

If one had an answer that would work in every situation, what a wonderful gift that would be. Perhaps it is my mistaken conclusion that most of the conflict revolves around religious and ethnic differences. One only need look into the night sky to see that we are a very tiny speak in an incomprehensible universe and so perhaps we are not as important as we think. Think of what could be accomplished if we all worked together.
