Good answer - "LemonTwist"...!
But just a point. Yep, the USA is (technically...!) beyond the reach of an ICC that Washington (conveniently) - for obvious reasons...! - refuses to recognize.
However, I'd like to add - (something I'm sure you're aware of but no one ever mentions what to me is glaringly obvious) - that - IF...! - Tony Bliar were to be booted out of office, frogmarched to the Hague and convicted of War Crimes, then the collateral damage to GWBush and the US would be considerable, lasting and quite impossible to avoid...! Whish is simply because the 'Neocon Star Chamber' cannot afford to let that happen and WHY TB stays 'safe.' And it's not even the first time he's done this - he did exactly the same thing and crawled into Bill Clinton's pocket during the bombing of Serbia... More's the pity! - it works. (Ergo: Tony's not Teflon-coated - he's Oval-Office-coated...!)

Nevertheless, if the British people had any real gumption and collective self-respect - which they plain DON'T...! - they would, long ago, have impeached Bliar and MADE it happen....!!!

In my opinion they should.

However, the US is not a signatory to the World Court and as such is not accountable to it. The US is a free agent able to do whatever it wishes and its leaders are immune from external prosecution over such issues.

In contrast to this, the UK is a signatory and so theoretically Tony B could be held to account for his actions/inactions over the war in Iraq. However, as has been demonstrated by the fact that on 4 separate occasions under 4 different investigations, Teflon Tony walked away scot-free while others seemingly correct in all aspects of their actions (eg Greg Dyke) bit the dust, it seems unlikely that he'll stand trail either. Even SCR 1441 remember that, was politically manipulated to became ambiguous. No, he's got away with it.

Its really very sad, TB was doing a good job in my opinion, and out of the blue 9/11 happened. Then instead of takng the moral high ground and righting the wrong that had occurred, this politician who garbed himself in moral correctness and purity, this man of religion, lied to us all to bolster the Amercian ambitions on Iraq. This has sent what now must be many hundreds of thousands to an early grave. How can he sleep at night? Why hasn't he resigned? Why haven't they kicked him out of Office?

And as for Bush - well it looks like finally the American people have woken up to what's really been going on. We take the p1ss out of the Americans for their seeming ignorance on what's been happening in this war, but they are operating in an information vaccuum.

Something happened to get Bush into Office, I recon possibly the single biggest political conspiracy the world has seen for a long time - that rigged election was the first in a series of moves that put most of America in the grip of a new Mafia - namely the Government itself. The Land of the Free is far from that now.
I just hope that democracy does what it should do and kick the neo-cons out, for good. Time will tell.

Truth-Hurt -- Strange - seing that you are having great difficulty with the "Truth" there was no option for America and Great Britain to take the action which they have taken and continue to take-- Nuclear Weapons being developed ,to be used against America and the West, Terrorist Bombings .Causing Mayhem and Destruction, Mass Murders on a world wide Basis , Genocide , Infiltration into countries world wide , recruiting an Army of Terrorist,s in which ever country they have managed to Infest . Sit Back and do Nothing ??? you must be NUTS -- Grow Up - Stop Whinging and Face Reality.

from the UK,and yes they should if people get away with huge
lies once(I god damn tell you now they will do it again)and
next time the lies will be worse.Iraq will run out of oil in
roughly 117 years(British petroleum forecast NOT MINE)
so they will be the last country still producing oil(FACT)
Saddam changed from selling oil for dollars to euros
(another FACT)The us admin back in the late nineties
said they wanted regime change in Iraq from Saddam
to someone they could deal with(deal in what do you
think)so all you people who think this is a just war,
try looking up some evidence(instead of listening
to propaganda on your TV)The biggest terrorist
recruiter in the world is GWB .And before you
cry treason, i say its not treason to open your
eyes and see.USA and UK are the world
police(then who polices the police!)

The US will not let this happen. The war may be unpopular, Bush may be unpopular, but there is no way he will be brought to a War Crimes trial without the US first being defeated in an all out war. There is no one country or group of countries that are likely to attempt this, let alone succeed.

Should doesn't equal will.

But I do believe that if Mr. Bush doesn't receive his just reward in this life, he will in the afterlife.

Absolutely. Tony Blair needs to be held accountable for all the seriously destructive decisions he has made whilst in power. I'm not surprised that people despise the West, when we have such a bad attitude to the innocent people in the countries that we have invaded.
