the mean is the average, the range is the lowest to the highest

A mean is an average, and a range is the area that the number can be in. To find the mean, or mathematic average, add all of the numbers and then divide by the total numbers there are. For example, 1,2,3,4,5. The mean is 1+2+3+4+5, which is 15, then 15/5. Therefore, the average is 3. To find the range, subtract the lowest number from the highest number. In my example above, the range is 5-1, or 4.

A mean is the average out of a group of numbers, gotten by adding together all of them and then dividing the number you get by the number of numbers in the group. The range is the difference between the highest and lowest numbers in the group:
If the group is 1, 2, 3, the MEAN will be 2 and the RANGE will be 2 because 3 minus 1 is 2.

Mean is the average. Add together and divide by the amount ie. 2+6+2+2=12 you have added four numbers so divide by 4.=3 Range is the difference between the highest and lowest ie. 22 and 55 you would subtract 22 from 55= range of 33.

Mean is one of the ways to calculate 'average'. Add up all the numbers and divide by the quantity. For example the mean of 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 is (2+3+4+5+6)/5=4

Range is the difference between highest and lowest, in the example 4.

mean is where you add up all the numbers and then divide it by how many numbers there are.If you want the range you have to get the highest and take the lowest one away from it like 12-2=10 it is like that.

To calculate the mean, you have to add all the numbers together, then divide it by how ever many numbers you had to add in the first place.

To calculate the range, you simply take away the lowest number from the highest.

Hope that helped!
