In most cases women who haven't had their period (not b/c of pregnancy) are usually just stressed out. It should come naturally. In the mean time just try to relax and do things that make you feel good. Good luck!

Are you on any type of birth control? I have ALWAYS experiences irregular periods (since about age 15 or 16) and yes, at times I would miss a period for three months at a time. I even went one time without a period for FIVE months. I thought something was seriously wrong with me but my mom was the same way (maybe it's hereditary?). The thing that completely changed my periods was starting birth control...I am always regular now, down to the exact DAY, and it's so much better than not knowing when my period will decide to show up! Other than birth control, a healthy diet (well balanced with lots of water) and reducing the stress in your life can HELP with irregular periods, but if you're like me, I was still irregular no matter what I did or didn't do. Hope this helped! I recommend birth control, if you haven't already tried it. Best of luck :)

Stress can cause reactions that can ultimately mess up feminine hormone production.
I understand this may occur more easily in persons with a blood sugar imbalance. You may want to check out www.hufa.org - especially the symptoms link - and see if you are experiencing symptoms that also may be due to low blood sugar. The precursor condition for that is hyperinsulinemia (overproduction of insulin). It is the overproduction of insulin that can lead to overproduction of other chemicals and hormones that may lead to suppression of your periods.

Yes it is most certainly stress-related. You should go to the doctor's to have a prescription and to a shrink/psychiatrist to help you get over your loss.

Go to a doctor. All of the people here are at least potential idiots, including you and I. Please trust your health to a medical professional.
