Go to Tenerife. The fact that it's a huge volcano means it is more sheltered than other islands so it won't be as windy. I went to Fuerteventura in June and I was cold because it was so windy, but then went to Tenerife in November and noticed no wind at all and felt quite warm. Make sure you stay on the South of the island, resorts in the North get more rain. Playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos are good resorts on Tenerife.

Gran Canaria is always warm, puerto rico being the best. But you may get some rain in Jan. I would reccomend staying at the Marina Suites. I have just returned from a fantastic weeks holiday there. The weather was great 30oc or more every day. Hotel is right in the harbour over looking the sea (Beautiful Location)

We're off to Puerto Del Carmen (Lanzarote) in Jan. We've spent a few Xmasses in Costa Teguise (also Lanzarote) and its always been pleasantly warm but you may need a sweat-shirt on an evening.
