I agree with the answerer that said Medicare is screwed up. My dad has been on it for years. He can't do the paperwork. I guess all the ills in the World are the Dems fault. (Sarcasm alert) The Reps will get the pharmaceutical industry's full support. I'm not a fan of the Dems, but the US has to vote for someone better in '08. I'm thinking brother Jeb will run then. In 2000, after King Shrubby II was given the election, I predicted he'd win reelection and Jeb would run and win in '08 and get reelection in '12. I won't underestimate the stupidity of the American voter like I did in 2000. I thought they were smarter than to vote for a second Bush mistake. I'd bet money that Jeb will run and win. I certainly hope I'm wrong.

LOL....Medicare....the whole program is in shambles...You ever try to help someone fill out that paperwork you need a Law degree to understand it. And besides that Legislation was part of Clintons reform package. It got bottled up in congress for 5 years taking on reform after reform.
Anyway: The Dem;s have the majority yes. But not 2/3's to over ride and veto from the president. So, it will just be 2 years of capitol hill BS until we finally vote for a new President.
He does not need to lay blame, it is always the Dem's fualt in Rep-cons eyes.

The cost of drugs in the USA is outrageous. Bush doesn't givbe a hoot about bipartisanship. He will do everything in his power to demonize the Democratic Party in the next 2 years.

Pharmaceutical; just wanted to get that out of the way before some feeb decides to attack you on it. As for the question, he won't have to try hard. If Fox News or "Rushin" Limbaugh can twist it enough, the Conservatives'll believe them. As for the dittoheads and Fox News junkies, they'll believe easily.

Haven't people learned ANYTHING from Republican politicians? They're always in the pockets of big business. If they're not directly taking money from them, then they're doing it to show that more money is flowing in the economy (which is not always a good thing), which will then help their approval ratings.
I'm not surprised at all. The next Republican nominee for President can certainly expect an endorsement from the pharmaceutical giants.

The Republicans are dependant on corporations to get their backing, their power, and their money, but they feel like they owe the people squat. As for blaming it on democrats I'm sure most sheeple will lovingly swallow those whoppers

No president has the power to tell any company to raise or lower it's prices. We live in a free trade society.
