Since the beginning of mankind, there's never been true peace in the Middle East. I can't see a way of it ever happening in the future.

Gee what happened to Jimmy, did he finally retire ! Some guys should retire, and I put Carter at the top of my list ! The Palestinians are their own worst enemy ! Progress was being made until Hamas gets back in the picture and the whole thing turns to shiit ! It happens every time Hamas is involved. It really does appear that the Palestinian people don't want peace with Israel, or they wouldn't do the self destructive things they do. How many years was it that Yassar Arafat was the leader of Hamas, and how much was accomplished with Arafat there? That's easy, -O-, nada, zip, Arafat's whole life as an Arab leader was a complete waste of time, breath, and human life ! Wake up Palestine, and get rid of Hamas. When you do that, you have the Persians out of your life too ! Watch the gates open then, watch how conciliatory Israel can become if you were to do this. Fatah will lead you to success, just give them the chance to show you !

The problem is, the Palestinians used to have a solid nation; all they're being offered after years of conflict is some people saying what they should have. They are the biggest displaced population in history and rely totally off UN funding, but they used to have a nation, so things like 'do not kill innocents' don't cut it with arabs who get to see their kids run over by bulldozers.

The only solution is for Israel to stop its mindless aggression and for the Palestians to be allowed to build a home for themselves again. These people have not given up in the face of the military might of the west. If Israel had been more subtle the land would have been theirs by now, in the end I think it's the Jews who will have to pack up and leave.

when did the palestinians ever have a nation? there hasn't been a nation in palestine for millennia.

as for the proposed solution, i think its pretty fair, and it would be nice to see the palestinians finally settled. but it doesn't solve the problem of the OTHER arabs, the rich ones in the government, who want to destroy israel, whether or not there is a refugee problem. they have a lot more influence than palestinian refugees.

Palestinians were never a nation. They were Egyptian, Syrian, Lebanese, Iraqis, and even Saudis.

This solution is great. I love it. Palestinians won't love it though, because they need to make themselves suffer. By going along with this solution, suffering will end, and that isn't what they want. They are one masochist crowd...

Wow, thanks for the link...it actually makes sense...don't think the wackos in the UN will accept it but then again logical things usually don't get proposed there.
