Ok here's the answer!

No one has entitlement by law in the Uk to go through red lights

EXCEPT

The Royal Mail By virtue of an unrepealed Victorian law
which says

"Nothing shall stop the Royal mail"

This law was obviously made before traffic lights had been invented but the law still stands

Thanks for all your answers!

Most people will say the emergency services ..... but they have to treat lights as a give way sign, and go when they can, and are still punishable if involved in an accident. However ..... it's the Royal Mail who can legally go through red lights. They don't of course, but they carry the Queens emblem and as such entitles them to ignore red lights in the eyes of the law.

Funeral processions are. It's so that the rest of the cars can keep up with the one in front. The front one still has to stop at red lights though obviously.

Emergency servies are allowed to go through red signals, but they don't have right of way. They are told to treat it as a normal road junction, so basically they just go through when there is a gap. Most people will (quite rightly) move out of their way and let them through.

The emergency services are not Legally allowed, but they're not shopped for it as they do so at their own risk.. The military aren't allowed either. I'd guess that the Monarch is the only person allowed to run a red.

no. this is nonetheless unlawful that you ought to benefit this, and probable places you at risk to boot. when you're at a standstill in site visitors at a pink mild, stay the position you're & enable the ambulance do what it desires to do. they are going to move round anybody on the left, in spite of the indisputable fact that if it skill going into the oncoming lane. they prefer anybody round them at an intersection stopped more advantageous than they prefer you to move over a pair ft. besides which, you may finally end up shifting good into the route of the position the ambulance desires to move in case you try to move via the mild & get out of ways. (you under no circumstances comprehend which route they are going to practice.) ambulances will use their sirens & horns at the same time as coming near an intersection to inform people to move if it may appropriately an legally be performed...yet commonly this is used at that degree to warn site visitors on the move-street to beware of them. you does not have self belief what number of people on that move-street do not observe a huge blaring flashing vehicle coming at them wanting to get via the mild. so rigs will move VERY slowly via them in certain situations and use various of noise doing so. too many ambulances were in injuries at intersections at the same time as that move site visitors would not clean like it ought to.
